Ingredients:
- 6 Medium Potatoes
- 1 Medium Onion
- 3 Garlic Cloves
- 1 Drizzle of Oil
- 1 Teaspoon of Oregano
- 1 Generous Pinch of Black Pepper
- ½ Teaspoon of Sweet Paprika
- 1 Teaspoon of Salt
- ½ Teaspoon of Turmeric
- 1 Teaspoon of Chimichurri
- 2 Ripe Tomatoes
- Creamy Sauce:
- 1 Egg
- 200g of Table Cream
- 1 Tablespoon of Wheat Flour
Instructions:
- Begin by peeling the potatoes and slicing them into round pieces.
- Place the potato slices in a bowl and add the diced onion, chopped garlic, a drizzle of oil, and season with oregano, black pepper, sweet paprika, salt, turmeric, and chimichurri. Mix thoroughly until well combined and set aside.
- Slice the tomatoes into round pieces and set them aside.
- In another bowl, combine the egg, table cream, and wheat flour. Mix until a creamy sauce forms.
- To assemble the dish, start by layering four potato slices followed by one tomato slice in a medium baking dish. Repeat this layering process until the dish is filled, as demonstrated in the video.
- Pour the creamy sauce evenly over the layered potatoes and tomatoes.
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and bake the dish for 40 minutes.
- Once cooked and golden brown, remove from the oven and serve this flavorful and creamy potato and tomato casserole.
